The purge

Rainfall
She came in,
quietly at first
in motion slow
these little droplets,
happily tired, erratic
seemingly ecstatic,
emotional, playful,
then suddenly
she leapt forth
into larger voluminous ones,
crystal shaped, round
colourless, languid
(it seemed as if)
She cried
effortlessly ,
relentlessly,
intimately,
then suddenly
she quietened herself
in disbelief,
in relief ?
but then once again
She opened forth
unknowingly,
innocently,
in a huge deluge
of unrevealed sorrow
of forgotten pain
of buried past
as abruptly
as ever
in large unbroken streaks
of emotional overflow,
She poured forth
loud buckets
of uncontrolled tears
sobbing shamelessly
crying endlessly
In a deluge of infinite reveal
till the final broken symphony
of her catharsis
climaxed harshly,
(till it all came forth
every little drop
squeezed out tight,
empty )
in motion of full relief,
and all she had left behind
for once selfishly,
within the white empty clouds
of painful reveal,
were the stoic silences
of her excruciating pain
expunged
in deep relief

And with this abrupt release
it all
washed away
every little
spec of dry grey dirt
stuck by the broken window sill
all years long….
